Super VOX
Multibit DSD D/A converter

At Audiobyte, we strive to move beyond conventional approaches, and our new SuperVOX dac makes no exception. After years of research and hands-on experience with almost every conversion technology available, we engineered a unique multi-level delta sigma architecture. Engineered with an obsession for short and precise signal paths and an advanced clock management audio engine, our new dac has a sound signature that is distinctly ours.
For the SuperVOX, we integrated the most powerful FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) we have ever used in an Audiobyte device, developing proprietary hardware defining code alongside a dual cluster of high-performance switches. What we engineered is a device that surpasses the sonic limitations of commercially available conversion chips, without resorting to very expensive ladder solutions to achieve an extraordinary level of immersion and realism in sound reproduction.
A core technology that sets the SuperVOX apart is the unique Intersymbol Interference Mitigation techniques and custom hardware perfected after thousands of hours of testing. DACs rely on reconstruction filters (low-pass filters) to smooth the output, creating a continuous analog waveform from discrete digital samples. However, imperfections in the filtering or timing mismatches can cause previous samples to "leak" into subsequent samples, creating intersymbol interference. The effects are a form of distortion that reduces the accuracy of the analog signal relative to the original digital data. To counter this and maintain a very high precision and exceptional audio fidelity, we use what appear to be ladders, but are, in fact, high-performance arrays of equal valued elements. The capabilities of this innovative design allow us, among other, to achieve impeccably low noise floors without relying on aggressive filters, preserving the natural dynamics and depth of the music.
The SuperVOX is fully balanced and features our most advance clock solutions borrowed from very high-end products, ensuring timing accuracy and jitter-free playback. The discrete output stage is engineered to achieve full transparency.
As with the rest of the Super line-up, we are housing this special hardware in a custom chassis made from a solid block ||of aluminum, CNC machined to precision, bead-blasted and anodized for a luxurious feeling that matches its elite performance. With the SuperVOX, we have shattered expectations at this price point, blurring the lines between high-end luxury audio and desktop affordability—delivering a DAC that is as technically advanced as it is emotionally engaging.
